Living and surviving ALS

Something I found on ALS forums, while looking up iPod touch text to voice hardware & software. Living with a tracheostomy and so forth. Will read when I get a moment, still haven't made a decision to go down this road. Most of daily activities I'm now putting on Facebook, will use this blog for things that are more shared in a journal.

Biting my lip & other symptoms

I just woke up from a nap. Noticed when I was laying down that I'm starting to bite my lip at random times. It hurts. I'm thinking I may need a mouth piece to protect myself when I lay down.

Also, weakness in right arm, leg and foot are starting to affect daily activities. Just typing this out with right hand, the arm is already tired.

Swimming and stretching

Nice time swimming @ Eastside pool yesterday afternoon. Lots of exercise & stretching. Range of motion is so much better in water. Would love to live on International Space Station. My wife is such a blessing, she stayed with me & held me up at times in pool. Thank you, sweetheart!

Nasty Fall this morning

Took a nasty fall this morning. Luckily I landed on the back of my head, on the carpet. I had slippers on, but no leg brace, and still managed to trip over my left foot. Thought I might have concussion, but looks ok. Cane bent, Debbie took me out for new cane & breakfast.
