Intamacy and Forgiveness

Intimacy. Fear. Rejection and acceptance. Musing about my resistance to Facebook. It's such an open forum. Rejection, misunderstanding, come easily. I desire intimacy with my family, my wife, children, extended family. Yet, I am afraid of hurt. My hurt. Or hurting someone I love, or have yet gotten to know.

In the larger perspective, intimacy with God and each other is not possible without vulnerability. I need to accept rejection. I need to also be honest, and not be offended by others rejection of me. Misunderstandings are so easily come by, especially in such a large, diverse community.

I know I've heard this in a sermon or read it in the past.

The challenge is this:

Can I live in unconditional love?

Forgiving those who misunderstand me, or who don't relate to my view of the world. Accepting those same people for who God made them to be, His special, unique creation, loved by Him so much.

Quick Update

Saw an acupuncturist for a consultation today in University Place. I have 3 VA paid sessions, 1st on Monday. If they improve L hand mobility, I will press VA for more.

Got back on Facebook very reluctantly today. I've come to see that if I want real friends, that I need to use it also as a tool. Turned off silly game apps, those annoy me to no end. Guess i'm old school. Made some nice contacts on FB today n tonight.

New Encouragement & Video

Just when I was starting to get hooked on the lie that depression leads to (no hope, etc).... I chatted with a wonderful lady of 71 from Australia who gave me some great encouragement.

Acupuncture is helping out the 71 year old. I need to follow up on this.

Playing Tennis on Wii
